Sometimes Moms Don’t Understand: Family Fun Friday and Link Up

Josiah craft classBy Lisa Cherry

Thursday is home school co-op day for our family. That means we get together with other families in our community and share some classes in common as we continue to home educate our children the rest of the week.

Josiah has been pretty excited that he is big enough for the "big classes" this year.

One of his favorites is the art class which is really an exploration of crafts.  This week the supply list came in from our class coordinator to my email.

I thought it would pull Josiah up a few notches if I read him his list…not really believing that he would be the one to find the items on the list!

We needed three buttons and a scrap piece of fabric.

But when I read this list to Josiah, he was immediately alarmed?!

"But mama all I have is my old computer and it's not working well."

Now it was my turn to be confused. Then it hit me.

A child of this generation would think of the word "buttons" as something on a keyboard.

Perhaps we needed a little sewing demonstration in the craft class!

It’s time for another Family Fun Friday Link-Up!  It has become our new tradition here at Frontline Moms.

Because we spend so much of the week Unmasking and frontlining and aiming for the remnant, we decided we need a little dose of Family Fun come Friday!

My daughter-in-law Tara at Mommy Head Adventures is helping us with this.

So link up your Family Fun blog post for all of us to see. Just make sure it’s family friendly, and fun.

What kind of fun?

  • Fun crafts
  • Fun kid recipes
  • Fun family outings
  • Fun mom games, or
  • Funny stories of your family

We hope you will share our fun button which you can find on the sidebar.
