Maybe you saw this in the news yesterday.

Yoko Ono has bestowed an honor (a "peace prize") on Lady Gaga for her work for "equality for gay, lesbian and transgender people" Ono is lauding Gaga, saying that she has "altered the mental map of the world."

My immediate thought was....Who cares?

I am not her fan and I certainly shield my children from her antics.

But as I thought deeper, I wasn't so sure my yawn reaction was prudent.

Altering the mental map of the world is serious stuff.

This notion of legitimizing and normalizing the perverse behavior of sodomites—that’s the Biblical term for those who call themselves “gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered”—IS affecting us all.

Check out the new stats for TV this fall for instance:

According to the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, the total number of “gay and bisexual” characters on primetime network drama and comedy series is at 4.4%a new high. I’m not surprised that they are applauding this increase which from 2.9% in 2011. They watch these numbers closely and have been reporting on them annually for 17 years.

Our kids are being programmed to act. But what’s even more alarming is that they're being programmed not to react.

Parents, do we care? Then I suggest we take action in our home immediately.

1. Make this issue a matter of family prayer.

2. Talk about the craziness with them. They surely are noticing it. Ask your kids what they are experiencing in school or in the media.  If you need some ideas for discussion points, look at my earlier posts:  10 Lies of the Gay Agenda and the Biblical Truths that Counter Them  and  10 Ways to Use “The New Normal” Gay Agenda to Teach Your Kids

3. Then ask them a more penetrating question: Are they being pressured to not respond?  At a recent POTTS meeting at our church, that's exactly what we discovered many of our kids were facing. Kind of a “it's not any of my business anyway” sort of attitude.

Oh no! That's exactly what Lady Gaga has claimed she's done!

4. And as parents, let's continue our discussion. We are facing unprecedented pressure in modern America to raise kids who WILL respond Biblically to ungodliness!

    Thanks for a great post.

It reminds me of what Jesus said in Luke 16:15--
"What this world honors is detestable in the sight of God."

Yes, we must not just look the other way.  We must pray and discuss this with our children.
