We've found a trampoline with a good strong side barrier to be very helpful family fun. Family members of every age from two all the way up to 22 have enjoyed it. In fact I think it has been responsible for removing some of that aggressive energy that often needs channeled in socially acceptable ways.
The other day the stability of our trampoline was greatly challenged. A freak strong winter wind sent it flying through our backyard! I heard Lucas shouting out the back, “Quick everybody it's about to come in here!” I never was sure where he thought that thing was going to go..... But I think he must've been thinking like I was. Trampolines need to be strongly secured to the ground.
What was our backyard problem? No foundational anchoring to our toy!
In this new year, I am sensing the Lord is asking me to check the foundation on things more important to our family than our trampoline.
It is possible 2013 could bring with it some strong winds. I have been spending some time listening to the Holy Spirit for His wisdom in discipling our kids. He is speaking to me words critical for our lives.
Are you listening to His voice for direction?
