Crafts are a fun and easy way to sneak in learning for young children. While improving motor skills, cognition, and creativity you can teach children lessons while their minds on focused on the task at hand. That is why adding a craft to your Bible story will help it stick in their minds and hearts.
Here is a Bible story craft for the ten commandments. This is very simple and only requires scissors, gluestick, marker, and 2 pieces of paper.
Draw a mountain on one sheet of paper. No artistic ability required (as you can see).
Have your child color in the mountain.
While they are coloring you can cut small rectangles from the other sheet of paper. Since my daughter is 2 years old, I wrote the numbers 1-10 on the rectangles for her. For preschool and school aged children you can leave the rectangles blank and have them write the numbers themselves.
