I heard from several of you concerning our transgender issue in our local university. We are still working on the issue, but......
Now we must consider the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA). This is a new, very real threat to our families poised in our US Senate.
Though this is of concern to all Americans, we in Illinois are being asked to address this by the Illinois Family Institute.
“If passed, no public elementary school or small business owner will be permitted to refuse to hire a man masquerading as a woman,” says Laurie Higgins in her post for IFA here.
I am so sad to report that both of our Illinois senators are among the 55 co-sponsors the bill.
Here’s what NBC reported about ENDA:
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Monday that the Senate will vote on a bill to expand gay rights in the workplace before the Thanksgiving holiday.
Sen. Harry Reid says the senate will consider the "Employment Nondiscrimination Act, which would provide work against discrimination on gender identity."
In my post last week I raised the question as to whether our school children would soon be taught by the gender confused among us. I did not know how near we are to seeing this threat realized.
I urge you to contact your elected officials over this critical matter.
We have consulted our state representatives over our local university's policies on allowing a self -proclaimed transgendered male in our women's locker room. The representatives were alarmed and said they were not aware of the problem but believe it must be resolved in the courts of America.
If they didn't even know of the issue, perhaps step one of our solution is to tell others about this move by a radical minority group to invade the privacy and safety of our families!

Transgender An umbrella term (adj.) for people whose gender identity and/or gender expression differs from the sex they were assigned at birth. The term may include but is not limited to: transsexuals, cross-dressers and other gender-variant people. Transgender people may identify as female-to-male (FTM) or male-to-female (MTF). Use the descriptive term (transgender, transsexual, cross-dresser, FTM or MTF) preferred by the individual. Transgender people may or may not decide to alter their bodies hormonally and/or surgically.
